Pride Month is celebrated every June, and while it’s often a time filled with colorful parties and parades, it’s held this month to commemorate the Stonewall Riots that took place in June of 1969. This uprising kicked off the gay liberation movement and led to more visibility and progress for LGBTQ rights. We have those people — many being drag queens and trans women of color — to thank for helping pave the way for us to openly express our pride today.

In honor of Pride Month, we’ve teamed up with Inclusive Apparel Co. for a Pride giveaway. They’re a new LGBTQ-owned brand that creates gear to help our community feel more included and wear their pride. Earlier this week, we profiled Danielle Roberts, who co-founded Inclusive Apparel Co. with her wife Shea, after they felt left out of the heteronormative wedding industry when planning their big day.

The pair has created a variety of wonderful shirts and hats that express LGBTQIA pride, including the one my partner and I are wearing in the photo below that says “PRIDE.” For our Show Your Pride Giveaway, you can win one for yourself! They have it available in bi pride colors (the one I’m wearing), trans pride colors (the one my partner is wearing) and rainbow for gay and overall LGBTQ pride. Eventually, they will begin offering wedding-related products.
